Packing Heat 022: The Bane of Perfection

Pick Pick Pick

Stop picking, you'll leave a scar!

Seriously, leave the picking for your analytical, editing brain. Don't pick while you write—it's counterproductive. Take it from me, I'm a serious control freak. Your Assignment

Write for 15 minutes or 500 words without using your backspace/delete key. Or, try writing 2 pages longhand if you usually type. See if it helps you stop picking. Remember, you can pick to your heart's content during edits. You can edit something. You can't edit nothing. And you'll end up with nothing (or very little) if all you do is pick.
